Regile Logistics is proud to be implementing a land restoration and climate-smart agriculture initiative under the AFR100 Land Accelerator Programme.
This project focuses on restoring degraded farmland, improving soil health, and strengthening sustainable agricultural value chains through innovative logistics and community engagement.
About the Project
This initiative is part of the AFR100 Land Accelerator Programme, designed to support African enterprises working on forest landscape restoration and sustainable land use.
The project aims to:
Restore degraded farmland through fruit tree interplanting and organic soil management
Train smallholder farmers in climate-smart agricultural practices
Improve market access through sustainable logistics solutions
Promote environmentally responsible and economically viable farming systems
Implementation Area
The project is currently being implemented in Central Uganda, specifically in:
Luweero District
Nakaseke District
These locations allow for efficient implementation, close monitoring, and stronger community engagement.
Our Impact So Far
15 hectares of degraded land under restoration
80 smallholder farmers engaged (60% women & youth)
1,000 fruit and native tree seedlings planted
3 demonstration plots established
3 farmer training sessions conducted
3 local jobs created for youth and women
Estimated 40 tons of CO₂ to be sequestered annually
Pilot market linkage and logistics support initiated
This pilot represents the first phase of a scalable model targeting over 300 hectares and 700+ farmers in future expansion phases

Looking Ahead
This project represents the first phase of a scalable land restoration model. With additional support, Regile Logistics aims to expand restoration activities to more communities and increase impact across Uganda.
